Can I use automotive paint?

Absolutely, you can use both thinned water and oil-based automotive paints.  This sprayer will not give you a showroom-like finish. 

Do not spray or clean with liquids having a flash point of less than 100ºF (38ºC). Flash point is the temperature at which a fluid can produce enough vapor to ignite.
