Overview
We recently hosted a wedding in our backyard for some dear friends. They live out of state and
their daughter wanted to get married here in Utah. We were happy to help out with not only
providing a venue, but also doing some DIY projects.
Instructions
As part of the wedding preparations, we discussed the fact that we needed an arch of some kind for the happy couple to stand by. The bride’s father is also into DIY and woodworking, so he wanted to build it. He did not want to bother with the staining, so I offered to tackle that part. I love staining, especially when I can do it with a sprayer to save time!
Step #1
My friend built the hexagon arch in his garage shop in Las Vegas. He used sketch-up to design it.
Step #2
He had everything labeled really well so it was super easy to reassemble once they got here in Utah.
Step #3
Once it was assembled it was my turn to stain. I used the FLEXiO 3500 paint sprayer with the fine finish nozzle. With everything else we needed to get done for the wedding, it was so nice to get this staining done so quickly.
Step #4
When I was done spraying, I used paper towels to wipe off the excess stain
Step #5
Not only did I have a wedding arch to stain, but I had 35 centerpieces as well. I was so thankful for the sprayer!
Step #6
I was so thankful for the sprayer! Can you imagine if I had to brush each one?
Step #7
I was so happy to be able to help create a DIY wedding for this sweet couple. It was a beautiful evening.
